Illinois State Police defends truckers, calls out ‘four-wheelers’

The Facebook page of the Illinois State Police District 10 in Pesotum, Illinois, recently published a short video, warning motorists to stay away from big trucks on the highway.

“Truck drivers. Over-the-road truckers. We see your frustration. The four-wheelers have ZERO idea what proper following distance is. Matter of fact, most are completely unaware of what a blind spot for a semi is,” they wrote in the post.

In the clip, an officer from the Illinois State Police addresses motorists who drive too closely to semi trucks’ blind spots.

“If you can’t see his mirrors, he can’t see you! He probably doesn’t even know your back there. Why you all up in his bumper?” she says.
